What is the enrolment process?
Step 1: Register your child by completing an online registration form. A $250 fee is payable to complete your registration. It is never too early to register your child on our waitlist.
Step 2: Complete an application form. 12-18 months prior to enrolment registered children are invited to submit an online application form with supporting documentation. Immediate enrolments are managed in a shorter time frame. 
Step 3: Interviews with the Head of School. Siblings and past students have a priority, and then interview invites are in order of registration date. Students on waitlists are invited to interviews if and when a position becomes available. 
Step 4: Offer of a place. An offer of a place at CCGS may be made provided CCGS is satisfied that your child has met the enrolment criteria outlined in the When do I need to apply?
We have growing waitlists across many year levels, so it is never too early to register. The sooner you register the higher up the list your child will be. Some parents choose to register their children many years prior to attendance (even from the birth of their child). At least three years is recommended.

What is the cost to register and enrol my child?
A non-refundable registration fee of $250 applies for each child you wish to register. Registering your child will give you greater assurance that there will be a place at the school when the time for enrolment arrives.
A non-refundable enrolment fee of $700 per child is payable within two weeks of an enrolment being confirmed.
A partially refundable entrance fee of $2500 per family is payable within two weeks of an enrolment being confirmed. $1250 of the entrance fee is refundable when the last child in the family leaves the school, subject to parents having paid all money due to the school and otherwise having complied with the conditions of enrolment.
I’d like my child to change schools. Is it possible to enrol now?
Due to high demand we are operating waitlists at key entry points (Kindergarten, Year 5 and Year 7).

Does my child have to sit an entrance test?
We are an inclusive, non-selective school so unless you are applying for one of our scholarship positions, your child will not be asked to sit an entrance test prior to being offered a place. Literacy and numeracy skills are assessed during the orientation or induction process to inform the planning of learning programs.
I already have a child at the school, will siblings automatically have a place?
If you already have a child attending CCGS then siblings have enrolment priority. Where a waitlist applies, siblings are automatically placed ahead of children who have no siblings at the school. Make sure you register each child for peace of mind as siblings can only be admitted where vacancies exist.
Will my child be able to attend an orientation day prior to attending CCGS?
To ensure a smooth transition for children starting school, CCGS has an extensive orientation experience where each child has the opportunity to visit our campus many times to gradually relate to their new purpose-built learning environment. Parents also have time to meet the key people and begin initial relationships. The welcoming experience is matched to the needs of older children joining the school and an orientation day is always part of that experience.
What age should my child be to enrol in Kindergarten?
In general, children should have turned five by March 31 of their Kindergarten year. Kindergarten interviews are held in May the year prior to enrolment to discuss any questions you may have.
