Children's Champions Update - September 14, 2017
Dear 51ɬɬÎÝapp Members, Children’s Champions, and Friends,
Millions of children were dropped off at child care this morning; millions of parents went to their jobs; millions of educators got to work. And Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) and Representative Bobby Scott (D-VA3) introduced theÌýChild Care for Working Families Act—which, if passed, would change the lives of all of those millions of people, and more.
How? By making a significant, comprehensive, and long-term investment to expand access, address affordability, increase quality, and invest in early childhood education professionals.
The 51ɬɬÎÝapp (51ɬɬÎÝapp) is proud to support this legislation, because Americans need a comprehensive public investment that delivers on the science of early learning and advances our current and future workforce.
Decades of research show that early investment produces positive outcomes for our children, our families, and the economic future of our country. But lives will change when legislation changes—and that’s why we need your help!
Please take a moment RIGHT NOW toÌýÌýand ask if they have cosponsored theÌýChild Care for Working Families Act.
- If they have, please thank them for supporting child care and early learning!
- If they haven’t yet added their name, ask them to become a cosponsor of the Child Care for Working Families Act.
And join us for aÌýÌýTwitterstorm TODAY, Thursday, September 14 from 3:00–4:00 pm ET to lend support to this legislation and share your need for a comprehensive solution to deliver on the promise of child care and early learning!
Thank you for taking action to help make sure that #ECEWins, and stay tuned for more—because when #ECEWins, we all win.
Onward,
Lauren Hogan
