罢丑别鈥�Affiliate Advisory Council advises鈥痶he 51涩涩屋app Governing Board and national staff about all issues related to Affiliates and members, and works to ensure that diverse, inclusive leadership pathways are present and accessible throughout the Affiliate Network and 51涩涩屋app.听听
The Council will appoint five new members in 2025 with terms beginning on June 1, 2025 and ending May 31, 2028.

Qualifications to Become a Member of the Affiliate Advisory Council听
All council members must:听
- Be a member in good-standing as of January 1, 2025
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of 51涩涩屋app Affiliates听听
- Demonstrate a commitment to 51涩涩屋app鈥檚 Advancing Equity in Early Childhood Education position statement听听
- Ability to participate in monthly virtual meetings, ad hoc work groups, and up to three in-person meetings听听
Roles and Expectations听
- 鈥疻ork collaboratively with Council members and 51涩涩屋app staff听
- Ability to listen with the intent to better understand听
- Respectful interactions with Council members, 51涩涩屋app staff, and affiliate leadership听听
- Contribute the necessary time to prepare for meetings and a willingness to engage in thoughtful, intentional dialogue reflective of the Council鈥檚 culture听
- Attend and actively participate in monthly, virtual meetings听
- Ability to travel to up to one in-person meeting typically tied to 51涩涩屋app鈥檚 Annual Conference in November. Travel expenses are provided by 51涩涩屋app.听
The first step in the application process is to confirm your 51涩涩屋app membership and indicate your understanding and willingness to fulfill the roles and expectations listed above.听听
The online application is provided in English and Spanish.鈥疉pplications open on February 3, 2025. The deadline for applying is March 14, 2025.
